Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the Pre-COP26 Parliamentary Meeting organized by the Italian Chamber of Deputies in cooperation with the Italian Senate and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Rome on 8-9 October 2021.
On 8 October 2021, Ambassador Faruk Kaymakci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General participated in the AgriBusiness Forum 4th international edition, which took place in Athens, on 6-7 October 2021.
Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the First Session of the Virtual Global Parliamentary Forum, entitled “The Health Emergency is Not Over. How We Can End the Pandemic and Accelerate Recovery?”, which was organized by the World Bank Group and the IMF, on 6 October 2021.
On 5 October 2021, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a visit to the Permanent International Secretariat of the BSEC Organization and met with Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS.
The 58th Meeting of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee was held online, on 4 October 2021, with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The National delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as the representative of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia as a guest and the representative of the BSEC PERMIS took part in the Meeting, which was chaired by Mr. Mikhail Emelianov, Chairman of the Committee (Russia).
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the Tenth Jubilee Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA), which was organized in the spiritual capital of the Turkic world, Turkistan (Kazakhstan) on 27-28 September 2021. The Assembly was attended by the parliamentarians from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, as well as the representatives of the legislative bodies of Uzbekistan and Hungary, and international organizations.
The 57th Meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee was held online on 22 September 2021 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat. National delegations from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as the representative of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia as a guest and the representatives of the BSEC PERMIS took part in the Meeting. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Petar Kanev, Chairman of the Committee (Bulgaria).

The PABSEC Delegation, composed of Mr. Petar Kanev, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, was on an observation mission for the elections of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in the capital of Kamchatka Region, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on 17-19 September 2021.
