On 9-10 December 2021, the PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Peter Kanev, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation, Chairman of the PABSEC Economic, Trade and Financial Affairs Committee, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and had meetings with its leadership.
Mr. Pavlina Lozanova, PABSEC Secretary of the Legal and Political Affairs Committee, attended the online webinar, jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Adaptation at Altitude programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The event was organized in a video-conference format, having as the main theme “Climate change and forced migration in mountain areas: What are the solutions?”, and it took place on 10 December 2021.
The PABSEC delegation, composed of Mr. Cemal Öztürk, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Turkish delegation, and Mr. Fuat Kuçukaydin, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the 16th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC), which was held in Istanbul, on 9-10 December 2021 upon the invitation of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the online meeting of the 16th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Parliamentary Track, jointly organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Sejm of the Polish Parliament.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended virtually the 16th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean which took place under the Presidency of the European Parliament in Brussels, on 4 December.
On 2 December 2021, Mr. Mushahid Hussein Sayed, Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, paid a visit to the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
