Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, dedicated to “Boosting the Role of National Parliaments in Promoting Global Peace and Sustainable Development”, in Baku, on 30 June - 2 July 2022.
We congratulate all parliamentarians, national parliaments and international parliamentary organizations on the International Day of Parliamentarism and wish successful activities for the benefit of the peoples of the wider Black Sea region and the whole world.

Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General participated in the Round-table discussion titled “Energy security in Europe: Current situation, challenges and future opportunities” that took place on 27 June 2022 in Athens.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the 24th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), in Baku, on 23 June 2022.
On 22 June 2022, Mr. Aydin Jafarov, Deputy Secretary General of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member Countries of the CIS, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat in Istanbul and met with Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General.

On 21 June 2022, the PABSEC delegation composed of Mr. Igor Becic, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Serbian Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and met with the PABSEC Russian delegation.
Mr. Cemal Ozturk, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation took part in the Global Parliamentary Conference on “Parliaments and the Global Compacts on Migration and Refugees: How to Bring About Stronger International Cooperation and National Implementation”, jointly organized by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Istanbul on 20-21 June 2022. Mr. Ozturk was accompanied by Mr. Ali Ustundag, Administrator of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
On 16 June 2022, Mr. Aktan Ago, Consul General of the Republic of North Macedonia in Istanbul, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
