Working visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General to the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Sofia, 16 January 2020
On 16 January 2020 Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Sofia and met with Mrs. Tsveta Karayancheva, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. Mr. Petar Kanev, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation also participated in the meeting.
The Secretary General informed the President on the current activities of the Assembly and on the organizational and preparatory work for the PABSEC events in the first half of 2020. Also, the results of the 54th General Assembly held in Sofia on 19-21 November 2019 were evaluated. The Secretary General expressed his gratitude for the significant contribution and active role provided by the Bulgarian delegation to the Assembly’s work.
The President noted that Bulgaria attaches great importance to the cooperation in the BSEC region and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation within the framework of the Assembly. Bulgaria also expressed readiness for the organization of the meeting of one of the PABSEC committees in 2021.
