Visit of Mr. Mahmud Erol Kilic, Director General of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to the PABSEC International Secretariat, Istanbul, 16 March 2022
Mr. Mahmud Erol Kilic, Director General of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), former Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) visited the PABSEC International Secretariat in Istanbul and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
At the meeting, Mr. Mahmud Erol Kilic informed the PABSEC Secretary General about the work of the IRCICA, which is based in Istanbul and carries out international research activities, with the participation of 57 countries. Mr. Kilic also presented interesting projects in the field of culture and history, which are developed by the Centre.
The PABSEC Secretary General thanked the guest for his visit and informed him about the results of the 58th PABSEC General Assembly, held online in November 2021, as well as about the current and the future activities of the Assembly, under the PABSEC Russian Presidency.
At the meeting, were also discussed the prospects of cooperation between the PABSEC and the IRCICA and the possibility of organizing a joint event in the future.
