Visit of Dr. Mikhail Brodsky, President of Lincoln University (USA) to the PABSEC International Secretariat, Istanbul, 20 October 2020

On 20 October 2020, Dr. Mikhail Brodsky, President of Lincoln University (USA, California) visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, the PABSEC Secretary General.

The PABSEC Secretary General informed the guest about the current and future activities of the Assembly and stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of education, science and research. It was stressed that the Parliamentary Assembly is interested in organizing joint events on topical issues in cooperation with educational establishments and research centers.

Dr. Mikhail Brodsky informed the Secretary General about the current activities and projects of the Lincoln University and supported the idea of ​​holding a joint event under the auspices of the PABSEC in the future.

Within the framework of the visit, Dr. Brodsky made a presentation on “Challenges of Contemporary Education” for the staff of the PABSEC International Secretariat. He spoke about the evolution of education, presented a comparative analysis of training models in different systems of higher education and dwelt on the challenges of contemporary education. It was noted that today education is more involved in market relations and that science is more viewed from practical and theoretical approaches. Dr. Brodsky answered the questions of the staff of the International Secretariat.

The Secretary General thanked the guest for the interesting discussions, wished him success and presented the PABSEC commemorative gift.
