The 57th Meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee, 22 September 2021
The 57th Meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee was held online on 22 September 2021 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
National delegations from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as the representative of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia as a guest and the representatives of the BSEC PERMIS took part in the Meeting. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Petar Kanev, Chairman of the Committee (Bulgaria).
The Committee approved the draft Report and the draft Recommendation 182/2021 “Cooperation in the Field of the Pharmaceutical Industry in the BSEC Member States” that will be submitted to the Fifty-Eighth Plenary Session of the General Assembly.
The Committee elected Ms. Maria-Alexandra Kefala, member of the PABSEC Hellenic Delegation, to the post of Vice-Chair of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee for the term of two years.
The Committee took note of the information on the activities of the BSEC Organisation presented by Mr. Trian Chebeleu, BSEC PERMIS Deputy Secretary General.
The next 58th Meeting of the Committee will take place in Albania on 16-17 March 2022. The main issue will be “Challenges and Prospects of the cooperation in the field of agriculture in the BSEC Member States after the pandemic”. Mr. Milija Miletic, member of the PABSEC Serian Delegation, was appointed the Rapporteur for the Report.
