The 57th Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee, 12 October 2021
The 57th Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee was held online on 12 October 2021 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
National delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, the representative of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia as a guest and the representatives of the BSEC PERMIS took part in the Meeting. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Mykola Skoryk, Vice-Chair of the Committee (Ukraine).
The Committee started its work with an expression of condolences in connection with the loss of Mr. Oleg Seleznev, member of the PABSEC Russian delegation, member of the Committee.
The Committee approved the draft Report and the draft Recommendation 184/2021 “Objectives and Challenges of Cooperation in the field of Education in the Black Sea Region after Pandemic” that will be submitted to the Fifty-Eighth Plenary Session of the General Assembly.
The Committee elected Mr. Musa Guliyev, member of the PABSEC Azerbaijani Delegation, to the post of Chairman of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee for the term of two years.
The Committee took note of the information on the activities of the BSEC Organisation presented by Ms. Sandra Vujinovic, BSEC PERMIS Executive Manager.
The next 58th Meeting of the Committee will take place in Greece on 9-10 March 2022. The main issue will be “Social Impact of Refugee Crisis in the BSEC Member States”. Mr. Ramin Mammadov, member of the PABSEC Azerbaijani Delegation, was appointed the Rapporteur for the Report.
