Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the Webinar “Green Energy in the BSEC Region and Beyond”, 4 March 2022
Ms. Milena Ljubinkovic, Secretary of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee took part in the Webinar “Green Energy in the BSEC Region and Beyond” organized online on 4 March 2022. The event was co-organized by the BSEC PERMIS and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.
The Webinar brought together national, regional and international stakeholders from the BSEC region and beyond to stimulate discussion on how renewable energy helps nations reshape energy sectors and achieve sustainable economic development. Obstacles against the Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7) that calls for affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030 were touched upon, as well as the ways to transform the SDG 7 perspectives into reality.
Special emphasis was put on the BSEC region with a view of its transformation into a model for clean energy based on the BSEC Green Strategy. At the meeting participants also discussed regional perspective on clean and sustainable energy, as well as the best practices, challenges and opportunities in the BSEC region regarding green policies and green investment.
