Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the online Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, 16 December 2021
On 16 December 2021, Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, took part in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, which was organized in the format of a videoconference.
The Meeting was attended by the representatives of the BSEC Member States, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), the International Center for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), as well as by BSEC observers and sectoral dialogue partners. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Mr. Noshrevan LOMTATIDZE, Representative of the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
The Committee took note of the information on the recent and future activities of the BSEC PERMIS, as well as on the information regarding the meetings of the BSEC working groups. The Committee discussed the issue of the cooperation between the BSEC and the EU and took note of the information on the activities of the BSEC Related Bodies.
Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, informed the participants about the last PABSEC General Assembly which took place online on 22 November 2021 and presented details about the forthcoming meetings of the PABSEC Committees. He also informed them about the participation of the PABSEC representatives to several international events and the permanent Observer status that PABSEC granted at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean.
