Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the meeting of the BSEC Working Group on Energy, 2 December 2021
Ms. Milena Ljubinkovic, Secretary of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee took part in the meeting of the BSEC Working Group on Energy organized online on 2 December 2021.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, Hellenic Republic, Republic of North Macedonia, Russian Federation, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Turkey and Ukraine. Prof. Dimitrios Mavrakis, Director of the Energy Policy and Development Centre (KEPA) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Coordinator of the BSEC Green Energy Network, also attended the Meeting as a Special Guest.
At the meeting participants discussed the current situation regarding the implementation of the priorities for the third medium-term (2019-2021) of the “BSEC Economic Agenda towards an Enhanced BSEC Partnership” (Economic Agenda 2012). Special emphasis in the meeting was put on cooperation in green energy, as well as on recent developments in energy sectors in the BSEC Member States in current extraordinary conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
