Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, 31 March 2021
Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the online meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, on 31 March 2021.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ilir Melo, Director of the Directory for Region and Neighboring Countries of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Representative of the Albanian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office.
It was attended by the representatives of the following BSEC Member States: Republic of Albania, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, Hellenic Republic, Republic of Moldova, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Russian Federation, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Turkey and Ukraine, of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) and the International Centre for the Black Sea Studies (ICBSS). The BSEC Observers and the BSEC Sectoral Dialogue Partners, also took part in the meeting.
The Committee of Senior Officials elected H.E. Ambassador Lazăr COMĂNESCU (Romania) as Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS, for a three-year term-in-office, starting with 1 July 2021.
The responsible Executive Managers informed about the activities of the BSEC in their particular areas of responsibility.
In his intervention, Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General informed the participants about the activities of the Assembly in the first semester of 2021 and about the participation of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General in two important online meetings, on 30 March 2021.
The date and venue of the next meeting of the Committee will be decided by the Chairmanship-in-Office after consultations with the PERMIS.
