Participation of the Academician Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, in the BSUN 2024 Congress and the 16th Conference of Rectors from the Black Sea Region, Istanbul, 11 July 2024
At the initiative of Istanbul University and the Black Sea Universities’ Network, the BSUN 2024 Congress and the 16th Conference of Rectors from the Black Sea Region were organized in Istanbul on 11 July 2024. The meeting was attended by rectors of universities of the BSEC member states, the PABSEC Secretary General, the BSEC PERMIS Secretary General, as well as representatives of the Black Sea Universities Network.
At the opening of the event, the PABSEC Secretary General, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, addressed the participants. He noted the importance of the event, the foundation of which was laid by the PABSEC, and expressed hope for the duration and usefulness of meeting of the high officials from academic circles. The PABSEC Secretary General emphasized the particular importance of cooperation in the field of science and education between the countries of the Wider Black Sea Region and especially emphasized the prospect of cooperation in technological development, which affects all spheres of human life. He also noted the importance of strengthening scientific and educational contacts to strengthen multilateral cooperation between representatives of scientific and technical circles.
