The PABSEC participation in the 18th annual meeting of the International Network for SMEs, Baku, 1-2 December 2022
On 1-2 December 2022, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the 18th annual meeting of the International Network for SMEs (INSME), which was organized in Baku in cooperation with the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) under the auspices of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
The Meeting was attended by representatives of business and scientific circles, as well as the international community.
The Meeting discussed the topic “Expanding Media Opportunities – Economic Diversification and Green Growth”. The participants exchanged views on the role of innovation in advancing the environmental agenda in the context of the global energy crisis and on the importance of cooperation between stakeholders at different levels for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
The PABSEC Secretary General visited the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and met with Mr. Eldar Guliyev, Head of the PABSEC Azerbaijani Delegation, and Mr. Eldar Ibrahimov, member of the delegation. The Secretary General discussed the current activities of the PABSEC and preparations for the 60th General Assembly on 6-8 December 2022 in Belgrade.
The PABSEC Secretary General also met with Mr. Elchin Babayev, Rector of the Baku State University, and discussed the issues of expanding cooperation between academic circles in the Black Sea region and holding joint events within the framework of the PABSEC.
