PABSEC Participation in the International Conference “The Role of Higher Education in the Development of the Society, Economy and Culture in the Black Sea Region in the Context of the Global Pandemic”, 30 March 2021
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the online International Conference “The Role of Higher Education in the Development of the Society, Economy and Culture in the Black Sea Region in the Context of the Global Pandemic” on 30 March 2021.
The Conference was organized by the Southern Federal University of the Russian Federation and aimed at discussing the current state and prospects of cooperation in the Black Sea region in the context of a global pandemic as well as strengthening ties between educational and scientific organizations and the development of international and intercultural dialogue.
The Conference was attended by representatives of scientific and educational institutions from the BSEC member states, international and regional organizations in the field of education, science and culture. The conference was held within the framework of a plenary session and three thematic sections (man, nature, society).
In his speech at the Opening of the Conference, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev emphasized the role of education, science and technology in the development of society. It was noted that education and science influence all spheres of human life, and the growth of knowledge increases human creativity. The role of higher education in the context of the global pandemic was also highlighted.
