Participation of Mr. Konstantinos Morfidis, Head of the PABSEC Hellenic delegation and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, in the 2nd Balkans and Black Sea Forum, Athens, 30 May – 1 June 2018

Mr. Konstantinos Morfidis, Head of the PABSEC Hellenic delegation and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the 2nd Balkans and Black Sea Forum, which took place in Athens during 30 May -1 June 2018.

The main topic of this Forum was “Rail, Road, Rivers Connectivity to the EU through the Balkan Region” and it brought together the attention and interest of important politicians, diplomats and business people of Central and South-eastern Europe and China.

The 65 leading international speakers and political and business representatives from Greece and abroad, in particular from the Balkans, the Black Sea countries, China, Europe, the U.S.A. and Turkey, discussed political, geostrategic and business initiatives, partnerships and innovative practices about the Economy, Energy, Environment, Tourism, Education and Innovation, Women in Leadership, and the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, with the United Nations Global Compact Director-General, Lise Kingo, being the keynote speaker.

In the margins of the Forum, Mr. Konstantinos Morfidis had a meeting with Mr. Georgios Stathakis, Minister of Energy and Environment of the Hellenic Republic, and Mr. Giannis Balakakis, Chair of the Organizing Committee of the Forum.
