Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the Online Twenty Seventh Meeting of the Steering Committee of the BSEC Project Development Fund, 19 October 2020
Ms. Milena Ljubinkovic, Secretary of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee took part in the Twenty Seventh Meeting of the Steering Committee of the BSEC Project Development Fund (PDF) on 19 October 2020.
The Meeting was attended by the representatives of the BSEC Member States, namely the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and Ukraine.
The Meeting was chaired by H.E. Ambassador Ebru Barutçu-Gokdenizler, First Deputy Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS.
The Committee invited the BSEC Member States and the Related Bodies that have not yet done so to appoint their long-term representative to the PDF Committee. The Committee took note of the information presented by the PERMIS about the financial state of the Project Development Fund and encouraged the BSEC Member States and BSEC Related Bodies that have not yet contributed to the Fund to do it.
The Committee debated the possible project opportunities within the PDF and discussed the important matter of the sustainability of the Fund, as well as the possible PDF financing models in the future.
