Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, 29 June 2021
Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the online meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, on 29 June 2021.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ilir Melo, Director of the Directory for the Region and Neighboring Countries of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, the Representative of the Albanian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office.
It was attended by representatives of the following BSEC Member States: Republic of Albania, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, Hellenic Republic, Republic of Moldova, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Russian Federation, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Turkey, Ukraine, and by representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) and the International Centre for the Black Sea Studies (ICBSS). The BSEC Observers and the BSEC Sectoral Dialogue Partners, also took part in the meeting.
The responsible Executive Managers informed about the activities of the BSEC, in their particular areas of responsibility.
In his intervention, Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, informed the participants about the activities of the Assembly in the last period and those which have been scheduled for the second semester of 2021 and about the participation of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, on 18-19 June 2021.
The representatives of the Member States expressed their appreciation for the valuable contributions of the Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS Ambassador Michael B. Christides, to the work of the BSEC Organization, during his two terms and congratulated the new Secretary General, Ambassador Lazăr Comănescu.
The date and venue of the next meeting of the Committee will be determined by the BSEC Calendar of Events, under the incoming BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office of Georgia.
