Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the Coordination Meeting of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, the Committee of Senior Officials, BSEC Related Bodies and BSEC PERMIS, Istanbul, 4 July 2019

Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General participated in the Coordination Meeting of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, the Committee of Senior Officials, BSEC Related Bodies and BSEC PERMIS, which was held at the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul, on 4 July 2019.

The meeting was attended by the following BSEC Member States: Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, Hellenic Republic, Romania, Russian Federation, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Turkey and Ukraine. Officials of the Parliamentary Assembly of BSEC (PABSEC), the BSEC Business Council, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) and representatives of the BSEC Observers and Sectoral Dialogue Partners, also participated in the meeting.

The Meeting was chaired by H.E. Ms. Ioanna Efthymiadou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.

At the opening session, H. E. Dr. Ioannis Brachos, Secretary General for International Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, presented under the motto “Black Sea, Green Energy, Blue Growth”, the priorities of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office of the Hellenic Republic.

The participants discussed and amended the BSEC Calendar of Events prepared for the period of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office of the Hellenic Republic (1 July -31 December 2019).

In his intervention, Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General informed about the results of the 53rd PABSEC General Assembly which took place in Baku, on 19-21 June 2019 and about the upcoming activities of the Assembly until the end of the year.
