The 59th Meeting of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee, 6 April 2022
The 59th Meeting of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee was held online, on 6 April 2022, with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
The meeting was attended by the national delegations of Bulgaria, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Türkiye and Ukraine, also by a representative of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Ms. Roberta Alma Anastase, Chairman of the Committee (Romania).
Upon the proposal of the PABSEC Romanian Delegation and given the difficult socio-economic situation in the Region, the Committee decided to update the content of the Report and Recommendation 186/2022 “The Role of Parliaments Stimulating Foreign Investments in the BSEC Member States” and to postpone the discussions until its Sixtieth Meeting.
The Committee agreed with the proposal of the PABSEC Ukrainian delegation to submit a draft Statement on the Situation in Ukraine, to be considered by the PABSEC General Assembly.
The Committee took note of the information on the current activities of the BSEC Organization presented by Mr. Sergey Goncharenko, Deputy Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat.
The next 60th Meeting of the Legal and Political Affairs Committee will be held in Azerbaijan on 5-6 October 2022.
