Online Meeting of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, with the representatives of the Secretariat of the Forum of Vice-Governors of the Argentine Republic (FOVIRA), 3 August 2021
On 3 August 2021, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, had an online Meeting with the representatives of the Secretariat of the Forum of Vice-Governors of the Argentine Republic (FOVIRA) at their request. The Meeting was also attended by Ms. Natia Gaprindashvili, Advisor to the PABSEC Secretary General - Press Secretary, and Ms. Pavlina Lozanova, Secretary of the PABSEC Legal and Political Committee.
The PABSEC Secretary General welcomed the colleagues from the Secretariat of the Honourable Chamber of Senators of the Province of Buenos Aires, which also serves as the FOVIRA Secretariat, and thanked them for the initiative to establish working contacts with the PABSEC International Secretariat. He briefly informed about the structure and activities of the PABSEC and the upcoming events. The PABSEC Secretary General emphasized the importance of the Black Sea region in the world politics and welcomed the fact that representatives of the Argentine local legislative bodies are interested in the BSEC region.
Mr. Ramiro Ordoqui, Coordinator for Cooperation and International Relations of the Secretariat of the Honourable Chamber of Senators of the Province of Buenos Aires and Head of the FOVIRA Secretariat, thanked the PABSEC Secretary General for accepting their invitation and informed about the objectives of the Forum. He noted that this organization has been established recently and is still in the stage of formation. It was noted that the Forum is composed of the vice-governors of the 23 provinces that form the Argentine Republic, who are also senators of the local legislative bodies. From the Argentine side, the Meeting was also attended by the Counsellors of the Cooperation and International Relations Department of the Secretariat of the Honourable Chamber of Senators of the Province of Buenos Aires, Mr. Ignacio Portela and Ms. Lucia Olivera.
At the Meeting, it was stressed the expediency of establishing working contacts between the PABSEC International Secretariat and the FOVIRA Secretariat and the possibility of participation of the PABSEC and the FOVIRA representatives in their future events. In this regard, Mr. Ramiro Ordoqui invited the PABSEC to the forthcoming FOVIRA Congress in December 2021, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev invited the FOVIRA representatives to the PABSEC headquarters in Istanbul.
