The Meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee, 24 November 2020
The Meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held online on 24 November.
The 63rd Meeting of the Bureau of the Assembly, chaired by Mr. Constantine Tassoulas, PABSEC President, Chairman of the Hellenic Parliament, adopted: the Minutes of the 62nd Meeting of the Bureau, draft Agenda of the 56th Meeting of the Standing Committee, draft Agenda of the 56th Plenary Session, Programme of the 56th General Assembly, Matters of Procedure of the 56th Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly, Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly and the Participation of PABSEC Representatives in International Gatherings from December 2010 to June 2021. The Bureau took note of the information on the execution of the Assembly's budget.
The Bureau endorsed the candidature Mr. Alexei Kondratenko (Russia) for the post of PABSEC Vice-President, as well as the candidature of Mr. Miltiadis Makrigyannis (Greece) for the post of Deputy Secretary General in charge of Organizational Matters and the candidatures of Mr. Daniel Dulca (Romania) and Alexander Furman ( Ukraine) for the post of Deputy Secretary General in charge of Interparliamentary Cooperation and Protocol, for elections at a Plenary Session.
The Bureau took the decision to appoint Ms. Pavlina Lozanova (Bulgaria) to the post of the Secretary of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee and Ms. Renata Meto (Albania) to the post of the Secretary of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee.
The 56th Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee, chaired by Mr. Simeon Kedikoglou, PABSEC Vice-President (Greece), approved the Minutes of the 55th Meeting, adopted the draft Agenda of the 56th Plenary Session of the General Assembly, approved the Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly, the committees' proposals on the issues to be considered during the first half of 2021 and adopted the PABSEC Calendar for 2021.
The members of the Standing Committee took note of the information on the participation of PABSEC representatives in international gatherings from August to December 2020 and the information on the receipt of contributions to the 2020 Budget.
