Meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee, 22 November 2021

On 22 November 2021, the meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held online.

The Sixty-Fifth Meeting of the Bureau of the Assembly, chaired by Ms. Cristina-Madalina Pruna, PABSEC President, Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania, adopted the following: the Minutes of the Sixty-Fourth Meeting of the Bureau, draft Agenda of the Fifty-Eighth Meeting of the Standing Committee, draft Agenda of the Fifty-Eighth Plenary Session, Draft Program of the Fifty-Eighth General Assembly, Matters of Procedure of the Fifty-Eighth Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly, Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly, and Participation of PABSEC Representatives in International Gatherings from December 2021 to June 2022. The Bureau took note of the information on the execution of the budget of the Assembly.

The Bureau approved the candidatures of Mr. Eldar Guliyev (Azerbaijan) and Mr. Igor Becic (Serbia) for the elections of the PABSEC Vice-Presidents and appointed the elections to the post of the Deputy Secretary General in charge of Administrative and Financial Matters at the 59th Plenary Session of the General Assembly.

The Bureau decided to extend the term of office of Ms. Natia Gaprindashvili (Georgia) at the post of Adviser to the Secretary General – Press-Secretary.

The Fifty-Eighth meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee, chaired by Ms. Cristina-Madalina Pruna, PABSEC President, Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania, approved the Minutes of the Fifty-Seventh Meeting, adopted the draft Agenda of the Fifty-Eighth Plenary Session of the General Assembly, approved the proposals of the Committees on the issues to be considered in the first half of 2022 and adopted the PABSEC Calendar for 2022.

The members of the Standing Committee took note of the information on the participation of the PABSEC representatives in international gatherings during July-November 2021. The Standing Committee also took note of the information on the receipt of contributions to the 2021 Budget.
