Participation of Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, in the NATO PA 96th Rose-Roth Seminar, Ljubljana, Slovenia, 7-9 November 2017
Mr. Daniel Dulca, the PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the 96th Rose-Roth Seminar entitled “The Western Balkans: Past Misperceptions, Current Challenges and Future Endeavours”, which took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 7-9 November 2017.
The event was organized by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia.
The Seminar brought together over 140 participants, including 60 members of Parliament from 23 NATO Member States and partner countries, also the representatives of parliamentary and inter-parliamentary organizations and political research centers.
Mr. Milan Brglez, President of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Mrs. Andreja Katic, Minister of Defence and Mr. Andrei Logar, State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed the participants.
The three-day meeting focused on the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Western Balkans and toke notice of the progress achieved and the challenges that remain to be addressed. The topics on the agenda covered the spectrum of the region’s political, economic and social developments, including internal and external challenges arising from populism, nationalism as well as from migration.
Mr. Daniel Dulca discussed with Mr. David Hobbs, the Secretary General of the NATO PA, various issues of common interests, including the relations between the two Assemblies.
