Participation of the PABSEC Delegation in the 2017 Xi'an Silk Road Business Summit and Silk Road Cultural Week, Xi'an, 8-9 September 2017
2017 Xi'an Silk Road Business Summit and Silk Road Cultural Week was held in Xi'an city on 8-9 September 2017 upon the invitation of China Chamber of International Commerce, Xi'an Municipal Government and Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce.
The PABSEC delegation composed of Mr. Namik Dokle, PABSEC Vice-President and Head of Albanian PABSEC Delegation, Mr. David Saganelidze, PABSEC Special Representative to the Silk Road Projects, and Mrs. Natia Gaprindashvili, Secretary of PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee participated in this gathering.
In two days Summit took part high representatives of international business community and international financial institutions, international organizations as well as diplomatic corps.
The Summit discussed such important issues as Financial service and Platform in the Construction of Belt and Road, Cooperation Mechanism in the Construction of the Belt and Road, Economic Globalisation and Connectivity, The Belt and Road and Private Sector, Financial Cooperation along the Silk Road, Economic and Trade Development.
In his speech at the plenary session of the Summit Mr. Saganelidze introduced information about the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, its goals and objectives. He stressed the priority of the transportation sphere for the Assembly and the importance of development of One Belt One Road initiative. He expressed the desire to extend the BSEC cooperation towards the east through more active involvement in global infrastructure projects with the aim to widen socio-economic benefits.
The PABSEC delegation met with the Xi'an Municipal Government Officials, representatives of the Shaanxi Provincial Government, President of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce.
