The PABSEC Observation Mission to the Parliamentary Elections in the Republic of Bulgaria, 26 March 2017
On 25-27 March 2017, the PABSEC Observation Mission composed of Mr. Musa Guliyev, the PABSEC Vice-President (Azerbaijan), Mr. Namik Dokle, the Head of the PABSEC Albanian Delegation and Mrs. Pavlina Lozanova, the Secretary of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee, visited Sofia, in the framework of the PABSEC Observation Mission to the Parliamentary Elections in Bulgaria.
The PABSEC Delegation visited polling stations in the capital Sofia and in Pancharevo village, an administrative center in the region of Sofia.
The Delegation noted that the election Commissions efficiently administrated the elections in compliance with the standards of democratic elections and with the national legislation.
The general impression was that the parliamentary elections proceeded calmly, without tensions and were conducted in a transparent and democratic way. As a general conclusion, the PABSEC Delegation noticed a good organization and management of the electoral process, in the Republic of Bulgaria.
