The meeting brought together over 170 participants, including 84 members of Parliament from 36 NATO Member States and partner countries.
During the three-day meeting, the participants had the opportunity to discuss prospects for EU and NATO enlargement in the Western Balkans, intra-regional relations and internal political developments, in the context of challenges coming from the unstable Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The event was organized by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA), in cooperation with the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with the generous support of the Swiss Government.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s senior officials, including Chairman of the Presidency Mladen Ivanic, Prime Minister Denis Zvizdic, Speakers of both Houses of the Parliament Sefik Dzeferovic and Barisa Colak, Minister of Defence Marina Pendes, Minister of Security Dragan Mektic and Speaker of the Parliament of Republika Srpska Nedeljko Cubrilovic, addressed the participants. Delegates from NATO, EU, several international representatives of different organizations, as well as independent experts took part in the discussions.
